Commercial Photography Case Studies
Hazel Brow Farm House
Hazel Brow is promoting itself as a large holiday cottage and intimate wedding venue. The owners required an arial shot of the facade which looked across a steep incline across the valley. A 40 foot mast was used which required very careful positioning to get the perspective and the symmetry right, while keeping it safe.
They also required interior shots of several of the rooms. This included showing the living room dressed for Christmas as well as normal decor. Special attention was paid to getting the lighting to be even, showing those heart-warming fires off without any burnout. This was challenging considering the winter sun pouring through those large windows!

Nutt Hutt Garden Landscaping
Nutt Hutt are a specialist garden building and landscaping business. This comes in the form of bespoke garden studios and garden layouts using a variety of materials, all built from scratch.
As with anything exclusive, my brief was to project the quality of their work and the kind of lifestyle that matches their service. This is achieved through careful timing of the shoots and subtle extra lighting.
Staff Portraits
Agent Software required a number of staff portraits to go on their new website. Shot on a pure white background, flash temperature variation with changing ambient light can have a play on this, so it was quite tricky to ensure consistency. I kept posing to nice and simple to give a friendly and professional look.
City Architecture
Shot for a Manchester Marketing firm, the idea was to shoot a variety of buildings in several UK cities. I was encouraged to look for interesting angles, and the style developed into something which is very much my own.
IT Business Owner Location Portraits
Garry is a Lancashire IT Specialist and he wanted a collection of portraits that were the opposite of what you might expect for a computer expert. So we decided to do it on location at a couple of local venues that he holds dear to his past. The result included a NWBIPP 2018 Winner and another receiving 2nd Place in the Portrait category.
Corporate Workplace Photography
Pomegranate Consulting are an accountancy firm who wanted some imagery to use on their website of them hard at work. Also they wanted something a little less formal than what you might expect for accountants. So I did a mixture of light and serious.
